There will be many occasions that a remortgage is a suitable option for you. The most common is that your existing rate is coming to an end and is going to revert to the lenders standard variable rate (SVR). It is usually more cost effective to find a new mortgage product rather than go onto the SVR. There may be options available with your existing lender to remortgage or it may be better for you financially to go to a new lender. We would find out all of the options for you so that you have all of the information to make an informed decision.

You may need some money to make improvements on your property. With a remortgage, you may be able to increase your mortgage balance and use the additional funds to carry out work on your property.
